This was my first time fishing for the land locked coho on the east end of Riffe. We launched at Taidnapam Park around 8:00am, had lines in the water shortly after that. Fishing was very good until 10 or so when the fish stopped biting. We trolled around looking for some that were biting and finally found them around noon. We caught our limits by 2:00.

In the morning it didn't seem to matter what we used (pink, green, shrimp, maggots, etc), the fish were biting on everything, anywhere from the surface to 25 feet down. The afternoon we were getting them on the pink kokanee gear with maggots, running the downrigger at 47 feet down in 50 feet of water.

I'm heading out there tomorrow. Is there a fee at the boat launch? Thanks

Both the Mossyrock and Taidnapam websites show "$5 Day-use parking - Weekends and holidays between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends".

Thanks for the info.... Got four poles set up today. Hope to be on the water by 7 tomorrow. Fished several times from the dam several years ago. Be my first time on the water in a boat. Seems to be pretty hot until 10 or so.
