Had the whole day planned. But we know how well plans go. Told my wife that we were getting up early to go to Stevens and chase Kokonee's. She said she would rather not get up early so I decided we could go some where else. So about 10:30 I say, about ready to go? and she askes if she could stay home. I don't care, but heck. I would have gone myself at 5am. LOL
Started to head to Sixteen, but stopped at a rest stop and double checked the directions and found my motor was to big. So remembered that someone had a great report on Armstrong. Got there and the ramp was even worse then described so didn't want to chance it. Off to Ki! Got there and there were NO parking spots left and I wasn't going to chance a tow or ticket. Last chance..Shoecraft!.

Great afternoon on the lake. Spent a great 4 hours under the sunshade, trolling two Joes flies. Started with a hot pink and a Dark whooley bugger type. Dark was the key. Went black and dark green for the best action. The bigger fish hit the dark, little plants hit everything LOL

Found the problem/fun fishing with two rods alone. Wham, nice fish on, grab the rod, check the docks, fight the fish, check to make sure your not about to Titanic the docks again, rod two slams, reach over, set the hook and place back in the rod holder, back to #1, check docks, back to net, get #1 in, drop (literally) the rod, grab #2, still on! repeat first part again. LOL.

The south end the hottest, but there is some great small mouth habitat on the south east side near a log cabin type house that is to die for. Marked a lot of fish holding down on boulders on the bottom in less then 5 foot of water.

None. I only use my 115 to get off the boat ramp. Electric is all I need on the lake

That was a great report. You made the 2 pole challenge sound as easy as Wash, Rinse, Repeat *lol* (((((Fish On))))

After endless complaints, the game dept. said they would fix the ramp at Armstrong. That 'fix' amounts to large, loose coarse gravel. They skimped out on paving it. Armstrong has nice rainbows though. We fish it regularly.
