Happy mothers day to all mom's out there! Can't imagine a mom wanting to spend some of her mothers day bass fishing right! Well the mother to my 2 boys does so up to loon with the younger of the two we went and had another successful outing! We boated about a dozen and had a decent one break off by the boat but oh well, that seems to happen every outing. We spent the whole afternoon in the northeast reeds with all bass in the 2-4lb range. All caught on the 8" zoom black grape lizard and Black n Blue jig n craw. Weather couldn't be better!

Nice! Those are some good looking Largies. See any beds yet?

Yep, Loon always seem to have healthy looking Largies! Funny you mentioned beds Bill, I've seen this out there before where some of the bass are getting confused with the Crappie beds. There are some pounders protecting some of them (males), didn't see any big females (4lbs +) on them though but did see some big females traveling in pairs with other males so they are looking, the water temps are in the lower 60's but I don't think they are in full spawn mode yet... As you know one week of hot wether can change that!
