Went camping with a buddy out to cooper lake this past weekend and brought the poles, along with a inflatable kayak. Fishing was very good with the rainbows averaging 10-12 inches. Landed one 16 inch brown trout as well. During the heat of the day their were hundreds of flying ants and the water started to come alive. Kayak or small boat is definitely needed due to all the brush along the bank at least at the northern end. Sorry no pics. Didn't want to bring my phone out in the kayak.
