Smallies were starting to build beds. Largies were cruising the shallows taking anything that hit the water. Which worked out well for me as I love to fish the shorelines. Still haven't figured out the whole dropshot thing yet. Worked weedless, weightless worms. Ended up with 7 LMB and 4 SMB. Largest pictured was 4.9#. 2nd pictured was the average size for the day. Smallies were a bit smaller than 2nd picture but feisty.

On a side note, I love the people on Lake Joy. Very friendly and happy to chat with you.

Nice fish - And, nice report. Did you have a lake shore resident do the photo work? I have had many lake shore residents shot photos for me over the years. I like to release the fish after the photo while the watch.

No Bob, I've got a little 8' Pelican Bass Raider boat that has a 2 seat setup. I set up my camera on the spare seat with a little tripod when it's just me fishing. I don't want to bother the residents too much as my errant casts on to their docks are usually bothersome enough. And me as well on the release, I like to get them back in to the water as quickly as possible.

If you like bass fishing you should try to get back in the Weyerhaeuser up of Gate 10 on Mt. Si which is the Hancock Forest Management for Snoqualmie area. There is a small lake in this area that was just for holding lake for trout. But bass were found in the lake as of 2002 and are in mass quantities basically over taken the Trout and Cuts that lived in this lake. Its Called MUD LAKE.....=)
