Arrived at Gissberg at around 6:45am. Threw the ibobber out on the water to get a gauge as to what depth the fish are at. Took me about 45 minutes to get dialed in on the right leader length are color bait. Chartreuse sparkle power eggs with about 3 1/2 foot leader worked. I was marking trout anywhere from 1ft from bottom to 5 feet off the bottom. Every now and then I saw on the sonar a group of fish all over 15' swim under the bobber at about 7 foot depth (assuming these were bass cruising around). Once I got dialed in it was steady action, bite every 10 minutes or so. Lost a few, and 1 of them felt like something better than the 10 - 11in stockers I was pulling in, but still got my limit in a few hours. Headed home, and smoked em on the pellet grill. Came out pretty good. Fished the north side of the south pond about mid lake. Was casting out to a good 75 feet from shore (had more action out there). Again about 3 1/2 feet of leader seemed to be the sweet spot.
