I got to the lake about 6:30am and was the third to anchor on the south side of the lake in the cove. This time I made sure I had enough chum onboard.
The boat that got there first did the best. I anchored up in 32 feet of water and had 2 bites which turned into 2 fish in the boat by 7:30am. That was it. I moved out a little deeper about 8:00. I think I had 2 bites there. About 9:30 I decided to troll with the downrigger.
I put on a Squiddy Thang Pink and trolled by those still fishing and got one on that jumped off. I trolled around until about 10:30 when I had had enough!
I spent quite a while trying to manage my Lowrance Elite 5 with CHIRP. So that was an improvement.
I got to the launch and lost the big yellow hook (I use this to grab the back of the motor) when I tried to tilt my kicker as I came in. I could see it. I just didn’t want to get wet trying to retrieve it. Then when I got home I found that the new blue cover I got for one of my seats was gone. :(
Today was a total opposite of yesterday. It was cloudy and cool with sprinkles. Water was almost 60 degrees. I may have had less than 10 bites the whole time I was there.
