Started out on Deep Lake by going and fishing a sandbar on the east side of the lake, fishing for bass. I tried some senkos and a rooster tail, with no luck. I hiked up the lake to the north side, and bass fished with a couple senkos and a topwater. A fish hit my topwater, but it must of been too small because it came right of my lure when I set the hook. A while after I moved over to the west side of the lake, still towards the top. I cast out a bobber with salmon eggs. I got a few small bites, but no fish, i suspect these fish were perch because I was casting in some of the shallower areas. I moved down to the area by the fishing pier at the park, and cast out some powereggs off the bottom. No bites, but fish were jumping everywhere. It seemed like no one was catching any fish, but there are bigger fish in that lake. It was still a pretty good day, Deep Lake has some beautiful scenery.

next time try a bobber and worm for rainbows. usually limit out every time i go. from the bank by the park. 6ft under the bobber usually kills it.
