I finally got back out on the lake! My little aluminum boat was totaled when I was rear-ended on the way to the lake a few months back. I have since replaced it with a significant upgrade with the insurance money. We took her out for her maiden voyage Monday afternoon. The sun was bright and it was about 70+ that afternoon. We trolled for about two hours and I think just maybe a trout may have accidentally slapped my lure (aka, not a single bite). The surface temperature of the lake is already at 60. We decided to hit our little honey hole on the East side and bottom fish with Orange Gulp eggs. That was definitely the ticket! First hit within two minutes and hit about every 10-15 minutes between our two lines from that point on. We caught a total of ten nice bows. The average size was about 13", with 15" being the largest. All-in-all not a bad day on the lake.
