Started around 6:30 with two of us on board. Fished with two rods on down-riggers and one long line out the back. Long line ran with 1/4oz egg sinker above a 4/0 Hammered 50/50 Les Davis dodger with a gold wedding ring spinner behind. This set up really did well on the trout, probably went 8 out of 12 on that one. Riggers were changed frequently between squids, wedding rings, spoons, and other spinners and bugs. Best set ups were: 1) salmon egg/gold wedding ring spinner behind 4/0 dodger, and 2) 2" squid w/ smile blade behind 4/0 dodger. I would say, without any counting, we had an additional 5 or 6 fish on the down-riggers. End of the day, we left with half a dozen nice trout and one decent Kokanee, at around 12:30. All other fish were released or spat the hooks. Two of the fish that managed to get loose, I believe were Kok's but that's the way it goes. Used bait and scent on the Kokanee set ups - corn with Slamola, and GULP! maggots in several colors. The trout were in good numbers/size this year, but the Kokanee are really absent so far. I think all the pressure is finally showing it self.....
