This is part two of my Central WA fishing trip on my way to Coulee City to meet my wife. Part 1 included a very non productive stop at Coffee Pot Lake. After a burger in Odessa, I made it to Lake Lenore in time for beautiful afternoon of fishing.
I launched my rowboat at the boat launch by the fish trap and proceeded to row up to the north end. Somebody made the lake a lot longer then last time I did this years ago!!! Note to self...you're old now....don't do this again!!!!
I finally arrived at the north and wasn't doing much until I remembered that I always did well over by the rock slide area. As soon as I rowed over there, I located a big pod of fishing working in the shallows. First cast and half way through the strip back in, fish on! Over the next hour, I landed 6 and had about 8 other takes that didn't hook up. Now that's the Lake Lenore I remember.
The fish were all healthy and ranged from 16-22 inches long. A great day on the water....except that @#!!@$# long row back to the launch. It hurts to type....I'm not joking. :)
