I gave this trip a 5 because it was truly a blast.

Dumped the boat into bank at the mid lake launch, not an easy task, water is way down! But it's only a 17.5 boat so no problem.

Ran up the lake and casted for SM for a bit. I'm sure a bit early yet, water was 45ish.

Ran up to Barker Flats, dropped my walleye gear and in 5 mins I had a 17" keeper. In the next 10 mins I boated 2 more just under 16" and lost one at the net I'm sure was over 16 but they always look bigger when the hook pops out.

From then till 6:45 I released about a dozen undersized, lost a very heavy fish I suspect might have been a burbot. Because later I landed a nice burbot that fought and felt about the same.

Boated 2 perch.

I'd had hopped for a few others to be over 16, but for the time I put in I was very pleased.

Oh, it was not till trolling for Walleye for over an hr I realized, why do I only have one rod down. that just increased the action.

I was pulling spinners with worm on bouncers. Trolling about 1-1.2 mph in 30-45 water.

Going out again tomorrow.

It is always fun not knowing what you will pull up next. Although, after a while too many smalleyes does get old. At about this time last year, Slow death hook & a short piece of crawler worked well out there. Thanks for the report.
