We fished Banks lake this past Sunday and found some great success. We targeted water that was 40 to 50 feet deep. The surface temp was 43 tp 44 degrees. Our best crawler harness patterns were gold in a smile blade or brass spinner blades. Our best trolling speed was .9 to 1.1 mph. We had to go through alot of 13 to 15 inch fish to find keepers. The fish are starting to head into spawning phase with this early spring weather but there was still plenty of big keepers around we just had to be patient. When we found fish they were very concentrated so there were lots more fish with them. The fish are extremely specific on where they are moving to and sitting right because of spawn.
