Hit the water around 10am and fished till 5pm. Marked large schools of perch in 40-50 feet of water. Dropped worm tipped jigs in their face most of the day till the bite picked up around 3-4pm when I got a few little guys for a small fry = )

Used the T-Pod sonar with phone app for the first time and it definitely works to scout the bottom out and find the schools. Battery life is VERY poor however, as I had to recharge both my phone and sonar during lunch... The bite was slow but they are there! Ill be back once it warms up some more = )

Nice report! Used to catch them in the summer time, there are some good size perch for the size of the lake. It was a seasonal lake when I fished way back years ago, not sure if the regs have changed, but good seeing you catching them in the winter time.

Thanks Westside! Martha Lake Warm Beach is open year round for fishing = ) I know the other Martha Lake at Alderwood Manor is seasonal. If my little sonar was telling the truth then there are plenty of perch down on the bottom just not sure why the bite was so slow!

No prob, thanks for clarifying - I'll have to try warm beach on my next trip. Fresh filleted perch meat & cut them into M&M size pieces on a size 4 to 6 hook (bottom fishing), seems to work well for me.
We'll post the report when that time arises.

Nice fish! How big are they? You say they are little but they look fat lol. And also, which Martha lake is this? I'm not sure where alder wood manor is but when I hear if Martha lake I automatically think of the lake off 164th in the Lynwood/mill creek-ish area
