Took my brother fishing yesterday. We banked fish at Offutt Lake from the boat launch area. We fished with chartrause colored power eggs. We enjoyed the beautiful weather we were having that day and we were given the opportunity to catch 5 fish between us. My brother caught a 17 inch trout and I caught a 16 1/2 inch trout...the other three were around 12 inches. We watched people around us catching fish also. As people came in from being on the lake in their boats they all reported catching at least 2 trout apiece.

Is there still bass in Ohop? I used to fish there many moons ago at the little outlet canal and catch bass and trout.

Yes, and crappie, perch and pumpkinseed. Nice lake to fish...a couple of weeks ago some guy had a whole mess of crappie...nice fat ones. I also fished from the bank near the mouth of the creek when I caught my trout....that is where the guy that caught the crappie fished also.

Thanks for the report, it has been a few years might have to head back and do some trout fishing there. We used to fish the shore and by boat when we had one for years always seem to go home with fish!!

Is this report for Ohop or Offutt? Title says Ohop but report reads Offutt... Thinking about heading out to one this weekend. Thanks.

It was meant for Ohop Lake. I fish both lakes and have great luck at both. Sorry for the mind slip while I was typing. I even missed that when I reread the message before submitting. Excuse the mistake please.

My brothers and I fished all over Ohop Tuesday in the boat and only managed 1 small perch and 2 trout about 16". They were nice fish but it was a slow day. We were wanting to get some crappie, but no luck on them at all. Not much at all showing on the sounder.
