I went out with Glen and Cami (F24) this morning. We started about 8am. We finished around 10:30am. We got zero bites. We tried surface to 40 feet trolling and got nothing. It was foggy until we were leaving and it started to clear. The water was 47 when we left. That is pretty warm for January.
There were a lot of boats out on the lake today. No one had any fish that we talked to.

I got there just as you all were departing. It was a beautiful day to be out on the water. I tried trolling anywhere from 10-45 feet, but never got any hits and nothing showing on the finder.

My fishing buddy and I decided to stop chasing kokes and try for some perch, so we went to a spot I had marked on a previous trip where I had seen a school on the finder. No fish showing on the exact spot, but we found a few small schools close by. We drop shotted for them, and immediately started pulling in perch. Unfortunately, the water skiers kept coming by close enough to us for the wake to push us off the schools, and I'd have to motor back over on top of them again before we would get hits again.

We ended up catching a dozen perch or so before giving up with the increasing frequency of the wake pushing us around (at 70' deep, it doesn't take much movement to push you off a school.)

No kokes for us, but as we departed, I saw a beautiful 22"+ rainbow someone caught from their pontoon boat.
