Ice was around 5 inches thick everywhere we drilled. The middle of the lake (starting at the power lines) going north was open water. Only two other people on the lake.

did you see any fish at all?I've heard this lake has good burbot fishing.are there any decent perch in bead lake?

I haven't tried for perch there but i have seen and caught macks and burbot there. Just not this trip.
