Old old fisherman once said, " You have 5 days once the first frost hits the ground to catch the bass feeding frenzy. We went Saturday to reel in the lunkers on Silver Lake. The rumors are true. The lake is dead. Fished nice and slow for 5 hours with crankbaits, plastics, Carolina rigs- not a single bite. I don't know why this lake has taken such a downturn (the hole in the dam, the raking of weeds?) but I think we need to find a new lake for the "Best Bass Lake in Washington" title.
