Unfortunately Al, CF and I were the first to the launch today and got to break ice from Blue Heron Park(the launch is fine) to the I-90 bridge area. The ice was 1/4-1/2 inch and will likely be back in the AM. The fishing remained incredible today. We conservatively caught 200 fish averaging 10-11 inches with numerous up to 13 inches in less than 4 hours. Too many double and triples to count. The ice gradually melted and was blown away by the time we left but we stayed in the same spot using the Anchor on my Minncota trolling motor. Swedish pimples in pink, silver and white all worked with a perch eyeball on it. We fished in 22 feet of water but boats closer to shore were doing well. Surprisingly there were fewer boats today than yesterday. The cold temps predicted for Monday night should temporarily end boat traffic to this area.
