I decided to try a new lake this morning on my kayak. This is a pretty lake with mossy trees down to the water and only a couple of houses. It has been overstocked with trout. The weather was nice with a little wind, and some rain. They extended the season on Langlois until February. The fishing was excellent. I caught over 25 - 12-13" Rainbow. A mix of the "steelhead" and standard stocker trout. I kept 4 for dinner for the family. The most successful method was sight fishing rising trout with a red #2 Vibrax or a silver and orange Castmaster. I would paddle slowly around the lake and wait for one to jump or rise and then cast past it. Fished 8 AM to 1 PM.
