My son and I hit Beaver Lake the day before Thanksgiving for about 3 hours starting at 10am. I got one real bite the entire time. Neither of us caught anything nor did anybody we talked to. It was 3 weeks after they stocked the lake with jumbos. We limited out when we were here 2 weeks ago but it seems like all the fish are gone now. I didn't see anything on the fish finder either.

When they are first put in they'll bite at anything. After a few weeks they start acting a bit more like you'd expect fish to act- a bit more wary of things, feeding more hesitantly, etc. The cold weather has also likely either moved the fish or made them a bit more dormant when it comes to feeding. I doubt all the fish are gone, I've caught fish in Beaver much later than this after the November stocking times. It won't be as easy as it was the first couple of weeks, but there's still big fish around, I'm sure.

Look for them a little closer to the bottom, but not in real deep water.

Thanks., However, the water temp was almost 50 degrees though. And, nothing was on the fish finder even at the bottom. We were all over the lake and didn't see anything. I was exaggerating when I said there were no fish but there were obviously a lot fewer. There were quite a few people on the lake as well as many fly fisherman. Nobody was catching. Could have just been a bad day for fishing. :-)
