Decided to hit beaver lake on the day of stocking with my brother, for some this jumbo trips, man haven't seen so much people here before, looks like people were camping out or something, before even sunlight there was lots of people, there was 6 trucks that came that day to dump the fish in, all about 1 hour apart,, I fished across the boat lunch, nobody was catching anything, from this side were I was, because all of the boats around the boat lunch made a little circle trapping all the fish in, so the fish weren't going anywhere from the boat launch. I wasn't fishing for about 45minutes just watching, because there was no room to fish, finally a little room opened up, (everyone was fishing PB) I decided to cast with a 3/4oz kastmaster with the heavy lure I casted close to the boat launch as I possible could, first cast fish on. After about few hours without anyone catching anything, I saw the fourth truck dumped the fish, and the gates from the boat lunched were open, (usually they closed the gates after each truck unloaded) so I guess they decided to leave the gates open for the last 2 fish stocks, so others can catch them. So I decided to get to the launch , and as soon as I arrived the fish stocking truck was pulling in and I saw there was already few people at the launch, man it was a blast, to catch those trips as soon as the truck dumped them in, fish ranged from 3#-5# The stocking lady told me in about 1 hour she will be back with the last fish stock, so it was a great day of fishing, released all fish except my limit of 2, fished with ko wobblers

1. The trout are not triploids. They are large rainbow trout raised at the Issaquah hatchery and have eggs or milt (triploids are sterile) .
2. The boats were not trapping the trout where they were poured into the lake. Many of the large trout stay in the shallow water for awhile - perhaps to get accustomed to being set "free". I was there on Wed Nov 5 (in a small boat) & have been there at prior year trout plantings.
3. Kayak, canoe, and boat fishers were catching and releasing and keeping trout after the first and 2nd truck plants.
4. Fishers fishing from the Beaver Lake Park side were catching large trout soon after the trout planting indicating that some of the large trout spread out rather quickly after they are planted at the boat launch.

1. I was there across the boat launch before sunlight. Nobody caught anything till maybe 4:30/5pm
2. yes kayak/boats/canoe were blocking all the fish in, I have been there for a few years of stockings, and always did good from the other side, across the launch, but of course there were not as many boats especially all crowed in one magical Circle,
3. Yes they do stay in the shallow , but The whole south side of the lake is shallow there would be definitely be more people catching from the shore if all the boats etc wouldn't be spooking and trapping the fish. (Fish are not as smart as humans, you don't literally need a net to trap them, a lot of boats circling around the boat launch will do the trick). I saw maybe 4 fish caught from morning to 4pm out of many fishing men that were on shore.
4. Just to point out a little fact , that the boat launch was suppose to be closed all day of nov 5 till nov 6. But was opened after the 4th stock, so I suppose the wdfw lady saw the chaos of boaters, and thought I should open the gates for the last stocks, so others can get a crack at it, instead of all the boaters blocking/catching the fish. I'm not saying all the fish were trapped by the launch , but pretty much a big percentage and that's a fact.

The only thing ill give you is, I agree they are not triploids
