Had a great rainy day of fishing! Did 90% of my fishing on the weed line on the side of the tiny island closest to the boat launch casting out away from the island onto the flat. Although there is a lot of weeds out there, there is a good patch of rock in about 18-25 feet of water. Hooked up on a dink (probably 10 inches) and then hooked up on this MONSTER. Had all of my hits on the trusty 3/4oz football head with a watermelon red/brown skirt and a skull fish (Fish and Brothers Baits is the brand) trailer. Gotta love fall smallies!
