Fished Beaver this AM, what a madhouse. I got to the launch at 7:30, 4 trucks/boats in line so I took one of the last parking spots and walked my float tube all the way in. 20+ boats in the water today, 2 or 3 guys at the launch from shore and alot of people fishing from the park side. I went 2 for 2 today, but it took nearly 3 hours. Started out with spoons and the bite was slow (no rolling, no top water action) Once I started letting my spoons drop for a while before reeling, the bites came. Caught one 17 inch chrome buck with a fire sparkle dick nite sz 1... one bite on a fire headed nickel size 2, but no hook up. after 2 hours of casting and kicking i switched up to power bait. Ran out of rainbow sparkle (didnt have much and the bites were soft) so I switched to red/orange sparkle and hooked a dark 17 inch hen. Great weather after 8 am. Should be good fishing this weekend and early next week... I hope. Tight lines!

Thanks for the report. Thinking of trying to get out there on Veteran's Day. Hopefully the crowds will thin a little by then!

More crowded than I've ever seen it on any plant day in the past 5 years. No parking for blocks, and no one was catching anything while I was there today.

Today was good. It was crowded but people were catching. My son and I limited in 2 hours. (Btw, Raft Man, sorry about your negative experience yesterday. Most people were nice today. There were a few jerks though.)
