Went on the lake today just after noon. The lake was very calm and water temp t 57 degrees. The perch have been balling up this past week an are just starting their annual forage for the winter. I fished just off of Issaquah Creek in about 48 feet of water and slayed a mixed bag of peamouth chub and yellow perch. The pea mouth Chub averaged 10-13 inches. I caught about 30 of those guys on a chartreuse 1/2 in power nymph fished drop shot style. Then I went out to the South of the creek and found the perch a about 42 feet to the left of the State Park but South of the Issaquah Creek.
There was a mixed bunch of perch between the common 8-9 inchers, but I hooked on to about a dozen perch that were between 10 and 13inches. It was a fun time. Total count on the perch was 40. I didn't even need to search around other areas of the lake for the fish, they were in "bite mode" off of the State Park and Creek.
I also had to rescue a water ski boat. The guy ran out of gas. He had a sweet lady in his boat so I thought I would help him out with a tow.
It was a fun day and now I have to fillet those tasty fish.
