Although I am just the holder not the catcher, it was a trip of a lifetime. Bad weather day, windy and plenty of rain. Near the end, we encountered some pretty good waves. The little one I am holding, on the left, weighed 14#, the big one Ace is holding weighed in at 21#. It was definitely a trophy fish. Would have placed in any derby there.
The bite was very short, no more than 1 1/2 hours and in that time we had 5 fish. Two small rainbows and a kokanee. That was it for the whole day!
Fishing with a guide on Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho. We were on a 36 foot Uniflite. We fished with eleven poles out at a time. Three on downriggers and the rest from planer boards.
Might even go again sometime so I can catch a big one!
