Like the saying goes, "You never forget your first"... I took my kids to a local lake while the wife rested at home. I found a small window of opportunity to try out my 6WT and just practice casting. About 30 minutes into my casting and mending, I felt a tug but didn't set the hook. Moments later, another tug but didn't set the hook. this went on about 5 times. Finally, after my sixth attempt, i set the hook. what a rush is was to feel the fish thrash about and having it hooked! it was by far, the most beautiful fish I have ever seen. After a short struggle and a pic, i sent this beauty back home. With a great memory and fire in my soul, i look forward to my next trip!

Dude Sir/Sealegs, I love it, the story is building.. building.. There were tugs and more tugs. Hook-sets.
You said you got a pic, but you should send it to Mike and have him post it. Size?? (Size does matter, lol)
Nice story!

Hey Quad. I almost blackout from the excitement. LOL It was a great thrill to finally use my 6WT. Yes, it wasn't a monster Chinook nor a Steelhead. I'll take the smaller fish all day long brother. I have followed your sage advice and diversified my fishing to more than rivers and salmon!
Cheers!
