after a depressing late morning early afternoon on the snohomish river I decided to try my luck at the local lake by my house. I had no idea I was in for a treat. The lake was appearantly just stocked with 6000 rainbows. I fished right next to the boat launch and in less than 2 hours had my limit of fish(10 on this lake....thats right 10). The ranged from 8" to 14". it made up for the lack of production earlier in the day. I was using a bobber and worms and I didnt wait more than a minute or two between strikes. it was by far the best trout day of my life. I had so much fun and met a couple old timers with some great stories. To the couple I saw there today(10-20-14) it looked like the garlic powerbait you were using was going awesome. Happy fishing folks. it is my favorite thing to do.

340000 steel head smolt 10 to 12" are being released into a select set of lakes. Lake tye is one of them and they have increased the limit to 10 fish daily. This comes from an article in the everett herald on oct 16th.
