My wife and I started fishing just before noon.
No wind, blue sky bright sun... a beautiful day.
There were scattered rises through out the day but they picked up surface feeding about 2 PM.
We fished with soft hackle dark wet flies initially and about 1 PM switched to dry flies.
The fish were not fussy, any dry brown/grey hackled fly about size 10-12 seemed to work fine.
We caught 15-20 trout mostly 10-15 inches long. ( Brought one home for breakfast)
All seemed to be planted cut-throats. We caught no browns or eastern brook which are the usual resident holdovers.
Either anchor and cast dry flies or troll slowly with a sinking line and a small (14) dark soft hackle seemed to be the ticket.
