My wife and I decided to go fishing after the morning wind died down. Our target were perch. We drifted slowly in about 10 to 20 ft of water near the south shore, the fishing was great for good sized perch. We used Swedish Pimples white with green dot and gold with red. We did not use the blades. The first fish caught on worms, the rest on jigs tipped with perch meat. Great day, had fun with our ultra lights and a super dinner! Crayfish pot soaking now with the fillet remains cant wait to pull it.

Sounds pretty good, Large Perch, large Bass, 20+ inch Rainbows and Brown Trout and the State will poison it and plant it with baby trout. Crazy S*#t. Then in no time at all the Spiny Rays will be back. Leave it be please.

Yes you would be correct in saying that, the lake has had the best fishing in years this year trout included. The state likes to suck up to tourism for the crackers who want 8 inch trout. Lets see about 10 years ago the state poisoned the lake much to the outrage of local fishermen. One unidentified source went down to the lake that fall and dip netted about 20 trout 16 inches and larger. He put them in his freezer and next spring on opening day he took them out, tacked them to a sheet of plywood (displayed) and made a sign that said "This is what you could be catching but your state knows better and poisoned this lake and replaced them with the minnows your about to catch! Fish and Wildlife came out, took the sign and fish questioned some locals about who did it we roared with laughter!

Man i hope they don't poison blue anytime soon. Yes, best fishing in years. I grew up on this lake and have seen the ups and down on fishing through out the years. Man last year i was afraid they where gonna poison it. Loving the perch and bass populations right now in the lake. I wish there where a bigger largemouth population though like when I was a little kid. Even park lake is great right now.
