Another weekend, and yet again I couldn't resist 3 hours of no bites at Larsen. This time I was using a jig. At first I thought the most interesting part of the day might be the couple under the sleeping bag on the bench on the dock. I was there to fish however, so whatever was going on behind me was of little concern. I noticed someone over on the far side of the lake but paid little attention.
Well, as luck would have it, time passed and eventually I bumped into that person, and it turned out to be no less than the Old Man of the Sea himself, missafish! Set straight on on time of day to fish (apparently 6:30 is not "early" by a long shot), jig type, jig action, and even bobber selection ( I drove immediately to Wal-Mart for my first all time Wal-Mart purchase ... weighted bobbers, which are awesome ), and although it was too late to recover my efforts for the day, I have a feeling that the future will be much brighter.
While at ... Big 5 I think it was? Down by the Wal-Mart in the Factoria Mall, I also picked up a ... get this ... lighted bobber. I doubt it will make any difference in terms of fishing success, but in 2-3 months when it's dark until 6:30 or 7, it may pay benefits!
