We drove up to baker lake on Friday evening and launched the boat at Panorama Point where there was almost no trucks. Then we loaded up the boat and ran up the lake to set up camp right on our own private beach. We fished in the evening for about 1-2 hours with no luck. The next morning we started fishing at around 5:30 and it seemed like we were one of the last boats out there. We fished for about 2 hours and saw one guy loose a fish. At 7:30 we hooked up a quadruple (4) header and landed 3 of those fish. We put on quit a show for everyone around us. It seemed from about 7:30-8:30 is when we saw all of the fish caught not a ton but there was a few being caught. But for us that was the only action until we left at about 11:00. One rod had a a purple doger with 10" of leader to a small pink hoochie at 50ft on the downrigger, one rod had a smile blade with two beads behind a small doger at about 40ft, one rod had just a chrome doger with a pink hoochie at 45ft, the last rod had a 4 ounce banana weight with a doger and a small green hoochie. All of the hooks had 1-2 coonstripe shrimp that we bought pre-cooked and de-shelled at the grocery store.
