I took Kim (pinkpole) out kokanee fishing for her birthday and I was going to fix her deep fried panko kokanee for lunch.
We were on the water by 7am and left about 10-10:30am with only 2 kokanee in the boat which was enough for lunch.
She had the most on but lost them using the Dick Nite Dodger in watermelon and a Wannafishalure. She is still learning how to catch kokanee.
It was one of those days where “you should have been here yesterday.”
One man who left about the time we did had only caught one. He was telling us how they haven’t planted rainbows here in 4 years. They are all tripoilds. “I must have caught 50 of them.”
Who else besides me, has caught those hatchery rainbow trout at Clear Lake?

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.

Toni... Love to view your reports. Used to fish Clear for Kokanee nearly forty years ago when I lived within three miles of the lake. Had a friend who had a house on the lake, so I knew the lake very well. Live in Edmonds now, so Clear is quite a jaunt away. Don't know what the fellow was talking about... WDFW has planted over 19,000 Rainbows (2.5/lb) in Clear this season, in addition, several hundred triploids. Triploids are genetically altered Rainbows that cannot reproduce, they just eat a lot and grow big (usually planted at over a pound each)!

Yes, Stanjoy I know. Tried to tell him that but when someone thinks they know there isn't anyway to tell them. Kim has been catching trout there too. She knew as well.
