I tried some fishing at the Mosseyrock Dam fishing area, off of Highway 12, yesterday. It was overcast and sunny at times, with a little wind blowing. The fishing calendar rated it a Fair day. I got there at 3:15 in the afternoon. I counted about 14 other people fishing at various times, while I there. Not too crowded, with plenty of room to fish. There were quite a few fish jumping again.
I caught two silver salmon (land-locked Coho.) They were biting pretty good. I was using shrimp or worms for bait, about 20 feet down and about 6 feet down. I was getting bites at both depths. The 20 foot depth seemed to work better. I was having better luck with the worms than the shrimp.
