My son and I fished Hansen Ponds on Friday and Saturday night for a couple of hours each night. Fishing was slow with a trout hitting our lines every 20 minutes or so.
We saw a lot of small trout breaking the surface but very few committed to making a solid strike on the hook. Power bait eggs and a worm tip provided most of the action.
The bottom of the pond has a considerable amount of algae for this time of year and made bottom fishing difficult. Per conversation with the Game Warden the ponds were planted
a couple of weeks earlier. Saturday the fishing was considerably slower than Friday.
