I arrived at martha lake at 8:30, tried for trout, pulling plugs, no luck tried trolling a carey special, no luck on that, i trolled a rebel bumble bug, and caught a couple fat perch and a dink bass, i decided to stop fishing for trout and started targeting perch. I put on a size 6 baithook and 1/16oz split shot and half a nightcrawler and it was on, every cast, one after the other they averaged 9" but very fat. I released several dinks <6" i kept 17 8"-10" perch. Fish &chips for dinner tonight!

Thanks guys, they were super tasty fried up with Cajun seasoning/breadcrumbs, well worth processing them.

Jonb....nice catch. Mind sharing how deep you were fishing? I usually fish American lake and do pretty well on perch but fishing in 60+ feet of water gets old sometimes.
