Towards 8:30 pm on June 27, My friend and I headed out onto the docks of "Liars Cove Campground". I threw a bright colored floating Rapala made of basil wood on my line. Within 5 minutes of me casting out with no weight several bass had hit my lure, but none of them were hooked. Around 9:00 pm a 2 pound bass took the Rapala and he fought for his life. The rest of the night consisted of many bites and hits which did not hook any more fish.
In my opinion the best time to fish the reservoir is early morning and late evening. I spent about a week at "liars Cove Campground" and came to the conclusion that if you are going for Rainbow trout and Bass, Fish close to shore. Though if you are looking for Kokanee try going towards the middle of the lake.
Thanks,
Zack
