Been awhile since doing a post on this lake, we've been fishing it allot this spring compared to very little last spring. I'd have to say it's been a hit and miss. Some days/evenings we catch a hand full, others we boat 20-25 fish. Last night we boated 20-25 fish, but nothing over 3lbs, but was a blast! As a matter of fact I haven't boated one over 4lbs in this lake this year! Weeds were bad enough to use my trolling motor the whole outing, but that's where the fish were! Water temps running in the mid 70's. Had our grandson's out there a couple times too! Even our youngest with his spiderman pole nailed one!

Yes I love it, good to see your post. I never get time to make posts. It is hard to find time to even rest my feet these days. My daughter(6 years) cought her first fish all on her own at long a 2lb smallie and my son(5years) cought his first fish as well out of the potholes also a 2lb smallie. there own hook set and cast everything. What a great feeling for me. I love your pictures. I am working 1 min. from clear lake tomorrow so I am going to hit it at daybreak for a few hrs. Thanks for the reports. Ya eloika is choked now.

Great to hear from you Tim, always great to hear kids catching fish too! Good luck at Clear, don't forget about the secret passage to the south end lillies!
