launched the Crestliner about 7am and saw fish jumping at the ramp, took that boat instead of the Duroboat I usually fish the lakes with since the Duro was partailly blocked by the Salty the will go up for sale soon. the other boat out there, looked like a Duroboat, caught one as i was starting to troll. almost immediately a 13" trout took my silver F4 flatfish. missed 3 in a row on my other line with a silver Mepps Aglia. after a couple hours I was about to go in when a pontoon launched so I made a couple more passes around the lake waiting for the ramp to clear. missed 1 more fish on the spinner then landed an 11" trout. then I was going go in for reel when another hit the spinner while reeling in the flatfish. a couple more passes and now I'm home. I changed the hooks on the spinners to try and prevent more misses. I had the fishfinder on and saw what are probably lots of crappie in the usual places but don't keep an anchor in that boat since its mainly a saltwater troller. will be back next week to maybe try for crappie too.
