Well hit the lake today in search of more kokanee. Started out motoring to the north side of silcox and drop the gear. Hooked into a few RB at first so change up the colors and had a nice take down got it half way to the boat and when it hit the top of the water and jumping I lost it. Reset the gear and headed north hooked a few more RB but they came off at the boat. Had another great hit and heavy then all of sudden really heavy, caught the second line agian get the fish 5 ft from the boat and a koke for sure grab the net and turn around and watch it swim away oh........ Reset the gear and headed off agian wham the pole goes off I grab it and its taking line...ok this is going to be good clear the second pole no issues then I see it jump and my heart is pumping. Take my time it takes a few runs and I grab the net and turn the boat to circle it and ahh fish in the boat a very nice koke. Caught a few more rainbows and kept three. Had another great take down the pole was bent hard and this one to was taking line off the reel. Took my time made sure not to horse it in and spun the boat in a circle to make landing the fish with easy. Another nice sized koke in the boat and heading home. I spent a total of five 1/2 hours on the lake arrived at 11:30 and left at 5 pm. Saw a few other boats out there but most left by noon. All fish were caught on the DR at 15-55 ft in 85 ft of water. I did loose one set of gear a dodger and hootchee I think it got wrapped around my release who knows but gone.

Thanks Nitrosteve, I don't mind putting in time on the lake. I love to fish and hunt it's in my blood. I am glad to be catching them agian had a dry spell for a time could not figure out what they wanted and it was driving me crazy. They are getting to be nice size and the old lite head shakes are turning into peeling line and running from the boat when they find out there hooked. They will eat good!! Good luck guys and tight lines: Eric
