Today was a landmark. Or maybe watermark? Not only am I a year older I received my long awaited boat. Steve stayed up all night getting the downrigger stands fabricated.
Steve and Trent met me at the launch at Clear Lake in Pierce County with my boat. I get a lot of the stuff loaded in and they launch it.
I got the downriggers set up and we deployed 3 different lures. One downrigger was stacked and the other was single. The fish came between 20 and 35 feet. We started fishing just before 8:30 after I got to run in the boat fast...I am going to have to learn how to drive a boat fast.
Getting use to the kicker took me a bit but I did it. Steve worked the fish finder since he owns a Garmin. I will have to sit with the book.
We got 6 kokanee. I can’t remember what time we quit, 10 maybe. All the fish were caught on the new Wannafish A Lure lure. Not really new. Take a look at the picture.
I should put in that originally I had one new lure. But when it caught a fish within 10 minutes I switched out the old and put in the new (I had made 2 sets) which left one original lure. That lure only had one bite.
We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.
