William was the only grandchild overnight so I thought we should go fishing. I told him he could wake me up when he woke up if it was daylight out. He wakes up too early when he is at my house. So he woke me at 6:30am and I think we got on the water after 10am. Left somewhere around 12-12:30.
William got the first kokanee and this fish swallowed the hook. Therefore, when I had him hold it up by the dodger it was spinning and spraying blood all over. Willie didn’t like this. Ouw ickk he said. We got it put on ice and he wanted to net the next one. So I got one to the boat and he tried to net it but it got off. So we took turns and that is why he got 2 and I got one. We had several to the boat but couldn’t get them in all the way.
It was a bit breezy.
We caught the bleeder on Wannafish A Lure Mini Squiddy Thang Pink with a Dick Nite Chartreuse Hot Head Dodger and the others were caught on a yarn-less Pretty in Carteuse kokanee attached to a Dick Nite Watermelon dodger. I started out going 35 feet down on cable without any hits. So I brought the stacked rods up to 30 and 20 feet on cable which brought our success.
We did not hook a single rainbow on this wonderful outing which surprised me.
William took the fish over to our neighbor Margaret. All my grandkids love Margaret.

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.

Looks like great fun Toni. Catching fish with grand kids is a blast even if you can't get them in the boat!
