The weather was pretty chilly, my boat was running crappy, plus it was my first time targeting musky. After messing around with the boat for a while, I started throwing lures. I had some big crank baits and some weird stuff I built. The spinner with the black rubber legs got a follow from one musky about 38 inches or so. That was the only action, but I only fished for about an hour. The only musky I have caught was by accident, and it was on the tiny tube fishing for smallies. I think that fish was a lifetime fish though, it was probably 50 plus on the inches, but I'm better with weight. I think it was about 25 lbs. I caught that one about 3 years ago. I like the big lures just because they look cool. At least I got on the water for a while. I will probably built some more lures as the summer goes on.
