I caught three nice rainbow, each one bigger than the previous one. The people fishing from shore seemed to be doing well with their chartreuse power bait but I lack the patience to just sit and wait.

I actually trolled from my kayak using a wedding ring spinner with both a worm and a piece of rainbow power bait. I am sure I missed several trying to watch my pole, paddle the boat, and dropping everything to set the hook.
I was finally rewarded with a 16-17" rainbow with the prettiest salmon colored flesh.

As an added reward there was a pack of coyotes greeting the morning from a hillside, turkeys calling and two white tail does down by the water.
