We had two boats and fished in the early afternoon. Having not fished
Easton before I was not sure what we were in for. The wind was blowing us
around and or course I did not have any anchor. We ended up drift fishing
straight across from the boat launch off a point. The water was about 10
feet deep.
We caught four fish which averaged about 8-9 inches. Orange Power bait was
the bait of choice. No bites on eggs or nightcrawlers. It seemed most
productive suspended a foot above the bottom and just off the point. We
would drift past the point and then reel up and do it again.
The other boat was trolling pop gear w/crawler and the other with a black
rooster tail. The pop gear caught 2, the tail 1.
Nothing of any size but there are fish in the lake. Pretty basic fishing.
Average depth of the lake was from 4-18 feet.
