Well really wanted to get out and catch some fish this weekend but the wife had other plans......but made it out Monday and well......launched at the WDFW and got started at 11 am headed over to the west side of the lake and got the gear set up and in the water. Made my way around and no takers so I headed over to my normal spot and there looks to be few boats passing the area over and over so I stay away for a time and pass over a few fish with no takers so I change up the gear and continue on my way, started marking fish deeper then normal so I drop my gear and still no luck. I see my area clear out and I head over and make one pass and the pole starts the dance and a nice koke in the boat. Make my way back and a few more passes and another fish the boat but this fish came from the lower pole and caught the upper line and wrapped the hooks all around it and twised the line really good what a mess. I am getting happy and feeling like it just might be a great day and the wind started picking up even more and well let just say the heaven's opened up for what seem like 30 minutes and boy did I get wet....could not see very good and all I can think is please fish don't bite now as I can't even keep the boat going where I want it to let alone fight a fish. After what seem like forever it stopped and the sun came out but I am wet and cold. I stay after it for a few more hours and no fish....then must of ran for cover who knows. I fish almost all the way back to the dock watching a few fish start to jump on the top of the water but never did get another bite, guess I will save some for next time right?? lol.... Tight lines guys.
Forgot to add the fish loved Toni's Squiddy Thang White-pink and the other came on the Squiddy thang pink. tipped with the ever special kokanee corn and a greenish and gold dodger on the DR 15-55ft. sorry no pics as was in a hurry last night.
