I went fly fishing for the first time. My neighbor and I launched our pontoon boats at 2:00. The fish were actively surfacing until about 5:30. I threw all kinds of stuff at them. It was mainly a learning day for me, but each of us managed to land about ten trout each in about five hours on the lake. float line and sink line both worked well, just depending on who was hungry for what when. It was a fun day and the eagles were flying all day and I got to try something new in my new hobby/addiction. I do have to call WDFW today, as people at one of the houses/cabins was feeding the eagles from their dock. It was beatiful to see them, but the eagles on our lakes are not supposed to act like seagulls at the ferry terminal.

Lesson learned..... I just spoke with wildlife police and there is no Washington State law prohibiting feeding Eagles (or any other animal except for baiting bear). I guess that's what I get for just listening at the lalke without doing research of my own. There may be a federal regulation though.

Or you could mind your own business and enjoy some fishing!

Not to be inflammatory, but with that logic if someone sees a bunch of punks breaking into a rig a the launch they do nothing and just "enjoy some fishing"?

I saw what I thought was someone breaking the law. I called law enforcement and was educated by them. From this point forward I will just enjoy watching the eagles feed.
