A very small window of time to work with, so I opted to leave the boat in the garage and try the bank. Saw largemouth very shallow. I assume due to spawning although I didn't see beds. I started off chucking spinnerbaits but no such luck. I brought a second rod that I had rigged for walleye, basically for practice and to get use to tossing smaller jigs. It actually enticed two small bass. Nothing to brag about, both were maybe a half pound. Both fished released. I'm giving this report a 3 because I have no doubts that the fish are active but I'm not nearly as skilled with this lake.
