WE arrived at the lake at about 9:30 am to find a brown sludge on the water, very concentrated at the launch end, looked almost like oil from a motor engine, or sewage, anyway, we did not try to enter the lake as we had our drift boat as to try to stay somewhat warm. we walked around the lake on the side of the road and found millions of fingerlings, we even witnessed a couple of browns in the height teens coming in to forage for food.
Does anyone know what the sludge is? and is it safe? also what are the fingerlings? bait fish or small trout? just curious.
