Tried my luck at Potholes for a day or two. The first day I caught a walleye. Pretty easy since they seem to be in abundance there. The second day, I tried for more Walleye and Bass and ended up hooking into one of those big Common Carp. I fortunately got it unhooked at the shore without even touching it. It lumbered off and continued its splashing around and frolicking. I moved to the O'Sullivan Dam to try for some Smallmouth Bass and managed to lock into two. Pretty good size too. I started losing gear and getting frustrated just as the wind direction changed and picked up speed. That was my clue to move on. All in all, a good day of fishing for me.
